Which books would you recommend for getting involved in water distribution system design and/or sewerage design? I have started a new position at my firm and am looking for some background reading.

Thanks,

Not a text book, but a whole series of books

Try to get an electronic copy of Advanced Water Distributions Modelling and Management. It is published by Haestad Methods in hard back form but they have been giving out free copies of CDs at expos.
