Phophated Alloy Steel, 13Cr and Nickel Alloy parts make the assembly along with set screws and threaded test caps to pressure assembly. Bleed for air.
Pressure test fluid will be compressed up to 20,000 psi but generally 5ksi at 85F
HNBR and Viton are the Seal options and concern me the longer the part is in storage or waiting to run in well.
They will end up around 275 to 350F so affects due to long term exposure to chemicals after exposure to a fluid that may be proprietary and not listed.
It seems like a soluble oil and water would be a good combination. I don't need it to protect the parts, just don't hurt them.
Must not be toxic or harmful to workers. Mild skin irritation is probably all that is acceptable.
This is a common assembly procedure that is done all over Houston for the exact same environments an with same materials. I can't believe I cant find a local vendor who knows what I want. Some use inhibited oil others antifreeze, pure glycol or glycol inhibitor mix.
Does someone know a good solution or have experience preparing a test lab or assembly area for oilfield equipment?
