Gear Tooth Profile Template

I need to check the profile of the tooth surface of a 52 tooth, 17 NDP, 20 degree PA molded plastic gear. Does anyone know of templates which may be available to use on an optical comparator or, perhaps, of a better way to measure the gear tooth profile?
