Hi,
I`m totally lost in the overflow of new technics and mathods of machine diagnostic using sound and vibrations. Is there any summary or list of methods (or is there anybody prepared to write down)for diagnosis gear faults (I mean teeth faults)?
Thank you very much and have a good day,
Tejcha

May be a good place to start would be to read “Vibration Spectrum Analysis” by Steve Goldman printed by Industrial Press. It is a good book on how vibration is analyzed and the author use a lot of rotating equipment examples.

Just a suggestion,
