Hi

I am to simulate gear mesh systems using ANSYS and need some help. Are there any training files/tutorials on this specific feature of ANSYS that anyone may help me with?

Thanks

I've done these simulations many times by solving
the 3-D elastic contact problems. The model included
two gears, a bearing.

No external help was used since I had confidence in
these subjects.

Taltal,

I don't know of any specific tutorials on this subject and it is not trivial even for the case of simple spur gears. Stress gradients will be very high in the root fillets of the gears and especially near the zone of contact. Your mesh must be highly refined in these zones. There are also rim bending effects to consider.

To get accurate results you must also consider misalignments and any errors or modifications to the tooth profiles. If you want to do some basic, preliminary analysis you might be better served to use an AGMA approach, and if you want detailed analysis you might want to look into specific gear analysis software rather than using ANSYS.

plz i need a program to simulate gears
plz anyone can help me to use it at my graduate project
thanks for help
