Gas Valve compound AGI

Hi, i am trying to find information on the role of a gas valve compound AGI, in the wide schemes of things. Assistance ( short description) on what its role is and literature for reference will be appreciated

Well a short description is that it is a valve on a gas pipeline used to segregate sections of pipeline in the event of leak or rupture.

Hi, its a design proposal on utilities crossing am working on. I just wanted to know the role of a gas valve compound in the whole gas transportation network.

Well it could be anything from a single valve used to isolate one part of the system from another to a much larger facility used to distribute gas from one or more incoming pipes to two or more outgoing pipes and / or regulate or lower pressure and maybe meter the gas.
