What precautions should be taken to avoid galvanic corrosion when welding dissimilar metals that will be exposed to an offshore environment?

External or internal?
How dissimilar?
What are the area ratios?
Give us some help here.

UNS S32205 housing for bearing is welded on a S355 structure located above sea.
Concern is the galvanic corrosion and how to prevent it.

Since you're above the water line you'll have to rely 100% on your coatings for corrosion protection. In this case the coating should overlap onto the duplex stainless as far as practical from the weld. The s355 components need to be coated completely.
