Will galvanic corrosion occur between Inco 625 and K500 material? I have a customer who wants to buy a Inco 625 Socket Head Cap Screw along with a K500 lockwasher. The environment will be subsea. I offered a K500 lockwasher b/c you can get a "true" lockwasher in this material where as with Inco 625, you are basically getting a flat washer that is split.

What are they screwed into?
If it is less corrosion resistant then either then there is no issue.
I doubt that there will be problems, though in the past I strongly favored using K500 for washer and bolt.

The screws will be installed into a fabricated part made completely out of Inconel 625.

If the parts receive cathodic protection, the issue goes away.
