Hi Friends,

I am facing some struggle in selection of material.

Does any few points need to be see for preventing of galling?

Example. : I do not know what effect will come between UNS S17400PH and UNS G41300.

Thx

An internet search of the subject should tell you same materials and same hardness of materials are to be avoided. Also a lubricant is a good alternative to prevent galling.

And when you are working with SS there are alloys (high Mn) that are much more galling resistant.
Using them for one of the parts can help a lot.
Do a search on "galling Nitronic"
