We are required to carry out a G28 A Corrosion test on a small bore ball valve which we can obtain from stock - which parts are subject to the testing? Can we only carry this out before the product is manufactured from the raw material of each component?

Is there any welding or brazing in your process?
If not I don't see why you couldn't do this on the RM.
However you would have to assure that you examined the full cross section of the material.

Better to ask the entity that is doing the requiring. Typically, the G28 A test would be a manufacturing quality control test for a nickel alloy such as N06625. Guidance as to the parts to test is given in subclause 6.2 of the standard.
