I'm trying to find the overall friction loss (f) in a complex circuit. I have the pressure losses at each junction and can find "f" in the parallel and series portions of the circuit.
There are two orifices in the circuit.
I know the mass flow rate through the entire circuit, the mass flow rate through each orifice, the pressure drop through the orifice(s), pipe diameter, and orifice diameter.
I don't need head loss, I need friction loss.
This is related to a heat transfer problem where I'm trying to find the overall thermal performance (relationship between Nusselt number and friction loss).
Any help, guidelines, sources for info., etc. will be appreciated.
