Is it possible to get a frequency-response plot from abaqus? I currently use SAP for floor vibrations research and, best I can tell, it won't produce anything resembling a Fourier amplitude spectrum.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It depends on the type of analysis you do. If you carry out a forced response (Harmonic) analysis, the frequency response will just come out naturally, since we work naturally in the frequency domain here. If, on the other hand, you're doing a transient (time history) type analysis, then you'll need to perform an FFT of the time-based results (since your results will be in the time domain). You can do this in Excel if necessary, or there are some excellent free codes available to do this, see especially here.
