Hi everyone!
I'm currently trying to model a plate with a hole, with a tensile load, limiting the geometry to one quarter for symmetry reasons.
When checking the model which contains several surfaces to create an accurate mesh, there are uncongruent surfaces. I'm getting a bit confused now, so I need some help to clarify all the possible issues with the geometry.
First, I wonder if a uncongruent surface is related to a free edge?
It seems that the good way to create the geometry in this specific case is by using the trimmed surface option, but I don't really understand how it works, as there are different variant for that such as "simple" and "composite".
I hope someone can give me a bit of guidance on that topic, the picture is not very clear in my mind!!
Thanks a lot in advance for your help ;-D
