hi, i want to ask about steel frame. In real life, steel frame is connected by many ways like lashing, bolting, etc. I wonder if i draw steel beama in etabs, will it considered automatically connected?

The program can model pinned connections, fully rigid, and semi rigid connections. But these are only analytical tools and the actual connection details must be designed and selected appropriately by the designer.

In "real life" no connection is ever fully rigid, and rarely truly pinned. We model them that way for analytical convenience and to 'envelope' the design, i.e. model it using extremes of the most rigid it could be and the most flexible it could be, and take the worst results for each case for each member and connection for design.
