Hi Guys:

I have a short question.

In Foundation Anchor bolt pull out design in seismic zone 0--2B in UBC Code, is it a must that we should use 0.9D-1.0Em, or can we still use 0.9D-1.0E?

Thanks.

Also, when you guys checking the whole foundation pad overturn (say for a tall tower), do you use "Em" to determine the concrete pad weight or use "E" to determine the concrete pad weight in seismic design?

Thanks very much.
