Forming a Flange Using NX3 Sheet Metal

I am new to NX3 sheet metal. I cannot get the progrqam to allow me to actually select an edge to begin a simple flange on a sheet metqal part. I created the flat original extrusion in sheet metal.
I have been using the flange feature in UG instead but I cannot get edge relief features this way, etc.
Can anyone help?
