For some time now there has been an Eng-Tips forum dedicated to inquires and questions dealing with Teamcenter, the Siemens PLM developed and supported PDM system. Unfortunately, until recently we had not identified someone who could monitor this forum AND be in a position to respond to any issues which might be posted there. Well, we are happy to announce that we now have that person in place and he will be watching this forum in the future.

Now if there are specific issues which involves using NX in a 'managed' mode, i.e. with Teamcenter, then it might still be appropriate to post those questions here in this forum. However, if the issues are specific to Teamcenter it will be better to post them in the Teamcenter forum. As an example of what we mean, if you're dealing with issues such as installing the software, setting it up, linking it to other enterprise tools or integrating other 3rd-party tools into Teamcenter or using it to manage data produced by other non-Siemens products, including non-Siemens CAD/CAE/CAM systems, or where you need to manage the hardware resources such as database servers or assign and enforce the privileges and responsibilities of people who are primarily Teamcenter users, then these are the sorts of issues that will be better addressed in this dedicated forum.

And for those of you have never visited the Teamcenter forum before, and trust me, not many people have (so far), you can find it at:

So please visit the site if you have any current or future needs in this area and I assure you that the person who will now be monitoring this site is in a very good position to provide the support that you will need.

Anyway, I hope that the people who do have specific Teamcenter issue will find this forum more suitable for getting help, particularly if you've no yet found a venue where you could get help when you needed it. That being said, please don't forget that you can also get help for Teamcenter, as well as all of the products from Siemens PLM Software, at our GTAC support and call-center.
