Has any one used the EC7 approach to check the uplift or buoyancy as I have tried but couldn’t find the required factor of safety which was 1.1 as per BS 8007.

Is there any solved example one can go through.

It's my understanding that Eurocode does not use the "traditional" Factor of Safety. By using factored loads and factored resistances, if driving force less than resisting force, you are okay. The FOS is built into the factors. You might check out: Of course, you will also have to check the serviceability limits (movements).

Thanks BigH,

It is as you are saying. Do you know any good book on Foundation Engineering based on Eurocode?

M.J. Tomlinson's Foundation Design and Construction, latest edition (can't remember - the 6th?) has a lot on Eurocode - he was the chief geotechnical engineer for Wimpey. The book is also fantastic for good practical engineering solutions, too. I heartily recommend it.
