Hi there,
I am new to this forum and am currently a few months from obtaining my B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. Given the current economic state of the aerospace industry, I have shift my career to subsea engineering (I have a friend there who will be able to give my application the necessary push, but I need something more to make me stand out). Many of my skills that I have obtained are very applicable. If you need further convincing, the president of Intecsea is in fact an Aerospace engineer. I am making this point just in case anyone has reservations regarding this transition.
Anyway, one of the classes I am taking to complete my degree is a junior-level Low-speed Aerodynamics Laboratory course. Now, the lab equipment in this course includes a wind tunnel and water tunnel. For a final project, I was hoping to utilize the water tunnel to investigate a current fluid-dynamic challenges relating to the Subsea engineering industry. I figured that investigating a certain [fluid-dynamic] phenomenon that has not been studied much (as it pertains to Subsea/Pipeline engineering) would be a useful contribution to the field. If there is a seasoned subsea engineer (preferably working for Subsea 7, Technip, or Intecsea) out there reading this post, your input would be extremely valuable.
Any ideas to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
