Hi Guys,

How to calculate the methane leakage of subsea pipeline between SSIV and Riser SDV with empty inventory due to blowdown of the inventory but with the passing rate of 124 kg/ hr at SSIV (SSIV supposed to fully isolated the inventory from any passing)?

Appreciate your thoughts on this.

Thank you.

Full Details needed.

Errr 124 kg/hr?

Poor description and definition of your question.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

To calculate the methane leakage from a subsea pipeline between the SSIV (Subsea Isolation Valve) and the Riser SDV (Subsea Delivery Valve) with an empty inventory due to blowdown, you should first determine the leakage rate. Given that the passing rate is 124 kg/hr at the SSIV, despite it being isolated, this indicates a potential leakage or seepage rate. The leakage calculation will depend on the specifics of the pipeline's condition and the pressure differentials. For accurate assessment, you should refer to relevant industry standards or guidelines for methane leakage calculations, and consider consulting with a pipeline integrity engineer to analyze the precise leakage based on system specifics and operational parameters.
