Hello,
I've got a video of a fluid running through a tool. I'd like to know the velocity of the flow front. I've done this manually by timing how long it takes to get past certain fixed points. I would like to try to get Matlab to do this if possible to give me more accurate and repeatable results. I've looked at the MATLAB help and it seems possible but I'm totally new to this and don't know where to start.
Can anyone give me any advice?
Cheers
George

Didn't follow the link, but an approach along the same lines would be to do a cross correlation in 2d between subsequent frames of film. That would give you a probaility curve for where things had moved.

Hello,
Thanks for the replies. I was hoping that there would be a standardised way of modelling flow fronts maybe using one of the tool boxes?
Kind regards
George
