Just curious....

Is it possible to show a light being turned on/off in an assembly ?

I've got a small electrical box with a toggle switch to control an electric motor and an LED light. Right now, the light is green; it's "ON" state.

By flipping the toggle switch, can the switch (green) be turned "OFF", i.e. a different color ?

Further, can movement of a part like the toggle mentioned above be made to start/stop a pre-defined Simulation ?

A simulation would be started using the simulation module. Moving a part in an assembly will not start a simulation.

You can animate this sort of thing by setting up lights and using the time-line in the Animator module--especially nice if you render the animation with PhotoWorks.

If you mean getting lighting effects by assembly pieces alone, I don't know of a way to do that.

(Unless your switch moves an object inside your device--mount two lights on a stick, which is moved by your switch lever {you can work that out on your own}. Flip the switch, the stick moves to its opposite position where the other light will be seen. Both lights are always "on", but only seen through your light lens {whatever that may be}. It's a hack, but it would work.)
