I need to model a flexible ground strap in Creo which would be easy enough for one assembly. The problem is it will eventually need to be in multiple assembly with the same part number and I doubt it will ever be routed the same way. So is there any way to build flexibility into it so I can route it differently each time but always have the same part number show up in the BOM?

I have done this using Pro/Creo Cable. The end or ends (lugs, connector, ect.) are constrained to user created CSYS. These can be translated or rotated as user defined flexible features when assembled. In cable you can set a length and it will warn you if exceeded. Once assembled, add location points to the cable.
