Hello I am dealing with a robotics problem, i have modelled the joints connecting the links as revolute joints with torsional stiffness. I need to find the end point deflection, but i want the links to be treated as flexible and not rigid.
[ please see picture]
Any help or suggestions on how i can do this would be appreciated. Thanks

First of all please note that there is a separate forum for the ANSYS product family within the 'Engineering Computer Programs' sub-group.

Second of all please reference the ANSYS workbench simulation guide ( . Here you will see that you can define any part in a multi-body analysis as either rigid or flexible (page 5). The part's stiffness is defined by you within your Material Properties.

Your question is quite vague and if you are still having problems I advise you to post with more detail on the ANSYS eng-tip forum.

Hope this helps,
-Ian
