hi I am new in designing flat slab.
I want to calculate thickness for a flat plate with irregular column layout using table 9.5(c) of ACI.there are no edge beam nor drop panel.the problem is the definition of span length ln in aci is not very clear.can someone tell me how to measure span length in flat plate with irregular layout of columns?an example is attached.
Should I consider panels as surrounded by hidden beams and take the long span of the resulting panel?even so it is not clear in case of a wall support how to consider the long span length..thank you
