Flat pattern engraving journal

Hi All,

For sheet metal parts my clients frequently ask me to add an engraving to the part.
All sheet metal parts have a flat pattern zo i figured, can I automate the placing of a engraving relative to the selected edge in the flat pattern?

I'd like to add this piece of program to an existing journal which already fills the title block.

Does anybody have a sample code from which I can start?
