The flagpole design company (yourself ?) needs to consider the bending moment on the pole as it is first lifted: A 150 ft long simple beam - particularly a beam strong enough to resist wind loads 150 ft up! - will be very heavy, and if it is being lifted at only one hook and a strap the gravity forces will create unusual stresses in the pole that won't be seen during operation.
Try a sling or brace to spread the bending movement out along the pole as it comes up from the truck or rack.
If a truck moves it into the erection (election ?) area in one piece, look very carefully at swing distances as the truck turns.
