Im looking into a job that requires PRO/E . I have used autocad and bentley microstation but not pro/e. I was wondering where I can get it to use on my personal computer to learn before I actually get the job. I was also wondering if anyone has an idea on the price

You may try Pro/E Student Edition for learning purposes. I think is about $150, but it is possible to find it even for free. The only problem is that you can't use it for commercial purposes, a file from Pro/E Student can't be opened in Pro/E and viceversa.

GO to there is a free program called pro desktop espress on there page that is a scaled down version of pro/e and free. I have used it and like it but have never used pro/e. they are supposed to be similar command-wise.

There is actually little in similarity between ProDesktop and PRoE. The 2 should not be confused as a "lite" and "full" version of the same program.

You wont find ProE commands like Feature/create/protrusion in Desktop.

I have seen price ( depending on the modules ) which includes the PC for $5000/station. If you need better numbers, let me know which modules you may need, or, explain what the job entails.
