hi,
i'm a new user of FEAP.

i need to perform a modal analysi swith an assigned response spectrum (in term of pseudo-acceleration, but in term of pseudo-velocity or displacements it’s same). i don’t need to do a time history.

in the book “OCZ&RLT, the FEM, vol. 1, 5-th ed.”, and there you forward to ‘Chopra’, ‘Clough & Penzien’ (i hear they but can’t have).
i've read too FEAP manual, sect. 14.4 and subsec. 14.4.3 (solution of transient problems) to find some escape to perform my analysis: no success.

my questions are:
1 – with standard FEAP 7.5 can I solve my problem in any way ?
2 – if ‘yes’, please you can give me some help ?
3 – if ‘not’, there is on the web some feap routine that perform this and i can download ?
4 – if ‘not’, i would to develop it : have someone suggests for me, & would someone collaborate with me for control & testing it ? {i really hope that's not necessary :-( }

another question : with modal analysis associate to a response spectrum i need to obtain the modal participation factor. how i get it ?

in last : were i can find more example to practice myself ?

thank’s for your attention.

p.s.: i've find a pdf "ELMT04.pdf" that regard a 2d/3d linear frame element with the possibility of specify rigid end zone and to assign distribuited load on it. someone know were i can find the source "ELMT04.f" ??
