We have large mixer blades that have to be repaired from time to time
and as such we need to have these blades balanced to eliminate whipping of
the rotor. The speed of the blade is 48.2 rpm and the weight of the blade is
8555 lb. Does anyone have suggestions as to a company in the staes that fabricates mixer blade supports to facilitate static balancing.

What are the physical dimensions of the blades?

It doesn't take much to static balance the blades yourself.

48 rpm is really very slow and I would not have thought it necessary to balance at this speed. Are the blades vertical or horizontal? Probably the product being stirred has more to do with the whipping . sometimes stirrers and agitators can have "propellor like blades" which provide a self centering force on the assembly. Cheers DW

Your "whipping" is more likely caused by a variable in the pitch or size of the exposed surface. One blade is doing more work and "digs" in causing the whipping you see. As far as balancing goes.. purchase an accurate scale and make sure they are all the same weight.
Good luck
Ralph
