We are in the process of fabricating steam lines for a heat exchanger. We have ball valves of 6" and 4" size for 50 barg pressure that are to be welded in this steam line. The steam is used only for this heat exchanger and then gets connected to the Low pressure steam header after exchanging the heat.
After welding normally there will be steam blowing operation for the steam pipes. Now if the valves are welded, is it advisable to carry out the steam blowing as this may damage the trim components of the valves. In such cases, how steam blowing operations are done?
Any other recommendation please
Thanks in advance.
