F1 search

How do you mean? Just click on the magnifying glass after pressing F1, and type in your search item.
Or if you need help on a specific item open the feature in Nx and then press F1 it will go directly to the help files of the feature. see picture.

Is the help function working for NX7 yet? I just updated to NX 7.0.1.7 and the F1 help is still not working.
Context sensitive help (F1) works great for me. If it's not working on your system, please get with GTAC to figure out what's wrong.
I guess the first question they will probably ask is -- is the help kin installed in the default location?

Same thing just happened to me. I got a new laptop last week (Dell M4400, Win7-64) and our people installed both the 32-bit and the 64-bit versions of IE, but only installed the Java tools for 64-bit, which would have been fine IF they had also set the 64-bit version of IE to be the system default, which of course they DIDN'T (it was set to the 32-bit version), so they just now installed the 32-bit Java tools so it no longer matters which IE version I'm running, I should be good to go.

John, as a question without notice when are you guys going to support some decent browsers? I.E. frequently disappoints and we had the ability to use others until relatively recently.

To start with, the 'F1' button has nothing to do with any sort of "search function", at least not directly. The 'F1' button invokes the 'Help' utility, which will display the User Documentation for the current operation that the user was using when he pressed the 'F1' button. For example, if you were creating an Extrude and you needed to learn something about one of the options on the dialog, all you have to do is press 'F1' and help for the Extrude function will be displayed.
Now, once that page from the User Documentation is displayed, there is a 'search' option with a button which looks like a 'magnifying glass'. You can then type in any word you wish and it will give you a list of documents where that word was used and selecting any one of them will cause that page of the User Documentation to be displayed.
