Is the ASTM F2014-00 standard for non-reinforced extruded tee connections for piping applications referenced in the ASME B31.1 or B31.3 codes at all? Could you tell me if there is a list of standards in the B31.1 and B31.3 books for this?

Just reading between the lines of this post I come up with the question:
Why do Engineering Companies submit quotes on ASME B31.1 and B31.3 Projects if they do not have a copy of these Codes to read and justify their Bids?

Sometimes its possible to do all the right things and still get bad results

pennpiper...

Excellent question !

But of course, we both know the answer.....

And that is: "Because it is easier and cheaper for the MBAs to hire new graduates with internet access and no piping background than to hire experienced engineers !"

There is always some old lonely geezer out there patiently willing to answer all questions ....

Isn't this forum for inexperienced people to get information from the more experienced? I have looked through our copy of the B31.3 codebook and cannot find a reference to ASTM F2014-00. I guess it's a separate standard that is unrelated.
