extruded sponge EPDM tears easy...

Hey guys I'm new to the rubber business I have some extrusion that just rips apart just be pulling it at it...

Inital investigation makes me think it is overcured but are there any other causes I need to investigate?

What type of compound, what type of vulcanisation?

Irrespective of the cure system, an EPDM foam will tear very easily especially when it's hot and there's not much you can do about it apart from handling it very carefully.
