Dear All,

When I try to change the end limit of the extrude (double click the feature) from 10mm (Picture Scale1) to 15mm I get the result shown in Picture Scale2.

Does it happen only to me?

Thanx.

This (see attached) is what I get when I do this using NX 8.5.2.3. Kind of what I would expect and certainly not what it appears that you're getting.

Dear cowski,

It works with the way you mention only if I deselect and re-select the sketch.

Dear John, I cannot open your video file, if you could please attach it again.

Thank you both for your replies.

I right click extrude 3, choose edit parameters and change the end distance to 15 and change the curve rule. It updates properly for me, with no need to deselect/reselect the sketch (NX 8.5.0.23). If I change the distance to 15 without also changing the curve rule, I get the same result you show.

Here is the video file alone.

If you still can't play it, try this link:

Dear John,

I can see that you have toggled the "Edit with Rollback" option instead of the "Edit Parameters" option. I use the "Edit Parameters" option cause is faster to load the feature.

When I change to that option I have the desired result but not if I have "Edit Parameters" option on (attached video).

Dear cowski,

I did it again, but it doesn't work for me. NX8.5.2.3 (attached video)

Is this happening to me only?

Thank you again.

OK, I see what you're seeing but have no explanation. It appears to be a bug. I'm going to open a PR and see what I can learn,

Oops, I misspoke.
I did change the curve rule and distance value separately. My method did require a deselect/reselect. When I perform the edit exactly as you describe, I get the same result.
My apologies.

I went back and created a similar part in NX 7.5 and it worked fine, irrespective as to how I edited the model, therefore this is a regression. And if I open that NX 7.5 part file in NX 8.5 I now see the inconsistent behavior, which I did NOT see in NX 7.5. I will keep you posted of what I learn.
