Hi i am looking to extract the point coordinates of associative point in modeling to the spreadsheet. I plan of using these extracted points to fill out the information on a tabular not on the drawing side. The forum below sounds like what i would need but i cant get it to work in NX9.

Any help or suggestions is appreciated!

Is the Drawing going to be in the same file as the Points? Or are you going to use the spreadsheet to 'carry' the point coordinates from one file to another? If so, you can do a couple of things. First create your 'Associative' Point features and when you do you'll get the X,Y,Z coordinates as Expressions. Now you could create a Modeling spreadsheet and extract your exressions into it and then save the spreadsheet as a separate document, but there would be NO associative relationship with the Excel file.

Or you could just use the 'Spreadsheet Edit' function while in the Expression dialog which would automatically open a spreadsheet with all the expressions listed in it. You cauld then edit the contents of the spreadsheet and again save it to an external document which could then be used to populate your Tabular Note in Drafting. Again, there will be no associative relationship between the Expressions and the Spreadsheet.
