Currently we are trying to export NX drawings to a dwg file. If a section view is used. the dwg file shows the section view as single lines overlaping each other. The end user is only using AutoCAD LT which is 2D only. So we would like to be able make sure every view ends up on the x-y plane. Is there a setting or is there a journal that exports all views on to the same plane?

The DWG/DXF Export menu has a 2D 3D toggle. Select 2D and see if it produces what you expect. If not, you can try exporting a cgm (be sure text exports as text, not polylines). Open a new file, start Drafting, and import the cgm. Will probably create SH2. Open SH2, then, export DWG of "Selected Drawing". This should 'flatten' all views to one plane.
Cheers,
