I'm doing an explicit dynamics problem in Workbench 12.1 with a bullet hitting a 'gellatin' block at 230m/s.
The bullet is rigid and set as a copper alloy and 'gellatin' was initially take as "Neoprene Rubber" from the engineering data. But that result didn't come out, right. So I used structural steel, but changed the relavent data to:
Young's Modulus 17.4E9, poisson's ratio 0.499, density 1.23g/cm3
The 'gel' is set to flexible.
However, the problem is that the bullet hits the block, the block vibrates, and the bullet just bounces off. How do I set the mesh on the block to be penetrable?
