Exit signs in warehouse

Hi,

I wonder is someone works in/remembers entering a large storage warehouse with high bay storage shelves one after the other an circulation space in between.

If someone was in the space in between to rows, are they required to have in sight at all times a directional exit sings?

I'm thinking that if yes, they will need at least one exit sign per row, which is a lot of exit signs. Any tips?

Certainly, not at Costco; otherwise, the exterior walls wouldn'y even begin to have shelves of stuff against them.
