Hi,

This will no doubt be very simple for many, but I have no used charts for a very long time, and after a play, I cannot see how I can do wht I need.

I am trying to re-create the garph as attached in excel, but cannot see how to obtain a vertical line and horizontal line within the same graph (for M10 for example).

Can anyone create a quick graph just for the M10, so I can see what I need to do, and complete for myself.

Also, I am out to create two lines on the graph, based on values of shear and tension, and where these intersect is what the selection will be based on.

All/any help would be appreaciated.

Thanks,

The attached file is not an excel file?

If you want to recrate it in excel (just to look "pretty") then just enter the "bend point" (dont forget the "start" and "end" point (0,Y) and (X,0) and select the scatter type where excel does not "smooth" the line. Should make a figure just like in your word doc.

Best regards

Morten

It's not any different that graphing a horizontal line, which repeats the same y-value for two different x-values. A vertical line, therefore, repeats the same x-value for two different y-values.
