Is Excel 2003 supported by NX6 on Windows XP? If it is, then there should be no reason it won't work on Windows Vista or 7.
Windows 7-64 may be different as I think Office is still a 32-bit application, even 2007 and 2010.
"Wildfires are dangerous, hard to control, and economically catastrophic."
We had issues with Win7 64bit and Office 2003.
You could edit an existing spread sheet but you could not create a new one. Once we installed Office 2007 the problem went away.
At the moment, Excel 2003 has been certified for NX 5.0.6 as well as NX 7.0 and NX 7.5. While the other NX versions are not officially certified with Excel 2003, there are no known problems which we're working on.
For Excel 2007 we have certified it's use with NX 6.0.5 as well as NX 7.0 and NX 7.5 again with no known issues with respect to the other versions.
We've also started certification of Excel 2010 and have completed it for NX 6.0.5 but it will require the MP3 fixes as there are across the board problems with Excel 2010 so this is the only one that we have completed so far and most of the other NX versions will also require MR/MP fixes before we can certify them for use with Excel 2010.
Note that the certifications for Excel 2003 was done with Windows XP while the Excel 2007 and 2010 is being done with Windows 7.
Anyway, that's the current status. And before you ask, we probably are not going back to re-certify Excel 2003/NX on Windows 7, but at the moment we are not aware of any problems which has required us to do anything special. As I mentioned, the real issues are curtently with the Excel 2010 certifications which are being worked on.
