Is there a web page o sort of "starting guide document" so that one can have a look of the latest pressure vessel directives, regulations and starndards?
this derives me to european directive 97/23/EC, which is what i needed,
on the other hand, and excuse me if this is not so correct, but what this directive has to do with the standard EN 13445?
is the EN 13445 a common stardard that has to be accomplished or just a guide (recommended?
en 13445 is a published technical standard, and an official copy can be purchased from ISO or other standards organizations, depending on which language you prefer. You can get a free copy of the "preliminary EN 13445" by a google search for "prEN 13445"
What i do not find it clear is if EN 13445 stands for pressure vessels of all materials or just for those made of steel (we manufacture in fibre-glass)
the materials part is about steel, but not sure about the whole directive...
I have been checking and sending some emails ... There is no standard for pressure vessels made of glass reinforced. Only those manufactured with rowing are considered in the standards.
Yes you are right. I read about that directive. We were looking for a standard for a more precise design guideline.
I have changed some mails with some people who are in charge of the standards, and did not find a standard for manufacturing and design of pressure vessels for glass reinforved plastics pressure vessels apart from rowing which is not our case.
If I am not wrong, the EN 13445 is not for reinfored plastic, but it is an excellent document for steel vessels.
