Hi,
I'm wondering if it's possible to assign a spandrel shear hinge in ETABS. How do you typically handle this? Do you use beams instead of wall elements?
I noticed there's a new option called the general wall hinge in ETABS, where you can assign reinforcement for the spandrel. However, after assigning it, under the definition of the wall hinge, where you can see all the fibers in the hinge with their properties, ETABS is showing the wrong height for the cross-section. The displayed height is equal to the spandrel length instead of the spandrel height.
Could you please assist me with this issue? Thank you
