I have questions about time history analysis in ETABS.
I use load function (Ground motion) with time steps size 0.01 sec and set output time step size to 0.001 sec(smaller than load steps).
-How ETABS predict load function between 0.01 to 0.001 sec?
-Will I get the correct results?

Thank you for your response.

I cant speak for certain about what etabs is doing, but I'm pretty sure it will be linearly interpolating between data points in your gm data.

Why such a small time step for analysis output? Why not just match the ground motion file? I can't imagine any kind of building structure that actually needs 1000 points per second to capture the response.
