Error While opening the drawing from Tc

Hi,

I am getting an below error while opening an Drawing from Tc.

"An operation was attempted on an invalid or unsuitable OM object"

I don't have any probelm in opening the Assembly.

Only drawing giving an Error.

Yes, i have tried in that way.. Still i am getting the same Error..!!

I am using NX 8.5..

Sounds like you may need to call GTAC.

Hi.

There are already several IR and PR's in Gtac with the same error showing.
Seeing as you already tried to open the assembly first and afterwards the drawing, which didn't help.
Did you already try to open the assembly fully ( no partial loading )? and then open the drawing?

If not then please try to open the drawing with the option "Structure Only" and then open the components one by one. Maybe you can identify the component which is causing the error on the drawing.
It looks like the error is related to a view on the drawing. You could also try to set the views to not automatically update (once you have opened the drawing structure only). Then open all components and update the views one by one...
Maybe you can identify the faulty view like this.

Hi Ronald,

Thank you for the response..!!

I tried opening the Assembly with no partial loading and then tried opening the drawing with strucure only. No luck..
Once i click the file and open the error is throwing.. but in the preview window i am able to see the drawing view's.

When i click open the error is coming.. it is not even me allowing me the open the drawing.

Kindly let me know if you have any other solution to this.

Hi Kumaran.

The preview you can see is just a snapshot from an earlier save...it is not the actual Drawing you are seeing.

Please try and set your assembly load options to structure only and then try to open your drawing.
If that works you can set "Delay View Update" in drafting preferences and then open all components for your assembly.
Manually update the views one by one to see which one is causing the issue.

If not then I fear the only solution would be to contact GTAC and ask them to fix it.
(or maybe someone else here has a different solution).

I tried that way.. It's not working.. Even i tried opening the previous versions.. Nothing is working.

i will contact GTAC then if i did not get any solution here.

Have you tried exporting the file out of teamcenter and opening it up native? Also while exporting the assembly out of teamcenter via file export assembly NX pops up some errors which may track down your problem. Can you get a previous version out of teamcenter?

Yes, i have tried exporting the assy out of teamcenter and opened in native NX. Getting the same Error. Even i try to open the previous version of the assy from Tc. No luck.
I am not sure how to get the previous version out of Tc. May be i will check that. I don't think that's going to help...
