Equipment Integration

Hi:

I am new to Labview. I just have the basics of VI. We are trying to use a Programmable Automation Controller and trying to integrate that with Labview. I need to learn how I can communicate from Labview to other instrument like stepper motor, pump or sensor. Can anybody suggest me a document where I can start with to learn this stuff? Please help me.

There is a forum just for National Instruments:Labview. Forum 1106, it is fairly active.

I know Labview has built in servo drivers for Ormec.
