Hello All,

I have come into a little snag in my stormwater design. The city came back with comments saying that where we are proposing our new stormwater pipe needs baffle blocks to reduce the velocity of the flow to less the 6 fps. Also there are two existing pipes that also come into this existing headwall (where we are proposing our storm water pipe), but they are perpendicular to each other and also contain baffle blocks. Now we have to analyze the two existing pipes plus the proposed pipe and make sure the flows leaving this headwall does not exceed 6 fps. Went looking in the HEC-14 and all the equations are specific to each of the situations there. Anyone have any ideas?

HEC-14 is the correct document. You need to use that and adjust to your scenario.
