Hi Everyone,

Bear with me, I am a Mechanical Engineer with very little materials science knowledge. I have some parts that are Electroless Nickel-Phosphorus and Zinc Chromate Plated. I could not find any ASTM or ASM specs that specify cleaning these parts AFTER they are plated, only prior to plating. I was wondering, can I clean these with Iso-Propyl Alcohol or Acetone?

Thanks much for your help,

Neither of those solvents will harm the plating.
