Hello guys,

are there electrical control panels which are 2 hrs fire rated? we need to have them due to fire strategy,

or can we use the normal control panel and enclose it in a 2 hrs fire rated material and what is it?

please assist with contacts of suppliers

cheers

They are probably fire rated but it may be difficult to acquire the documentation.
We had a similar issue with drop-in lighting fixtures. Eventually the manufacturer confirmed that all drop in fixtures have the same rating as regular suspended ceiling tiles.
Try calling the manufacturer.

But also consider that it's doubtful that anything you put into an electrical enclosure will survive for 2 hours operating in more than 40-50C internal temperature. So yes, the enclosure may survive but nothing inside can be guaranteed to function afterward. I don't even think the Fire Pump Controllers are rated for being IN a fire for 2 hours.
