I am trying to find out more information regarding elastic-perfectly plastic material models. I am considering the FE analysis of metals and looking can I apply a elastic-perfectly plastic material model to my analysis? Thanks.

This is a fairly generic question. Have you reviewed any references on the subject, such as textbooks or technical books on FE simulation of large deformation (metal rolling, forging, etc.)? This is one of those areas where you could locate a ton of technical articles for free download with a targeted Google search.

i suspect that most FE won't like a zero slope after yield ... but would live with a slope of 1psi (ie effectively perfectly elastic-plastic)
